            <title>New design + fresh start!</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: '-editor-proxy';">I know I've not posted for a while... so let this new design be a fresh start!</span></span></span></p><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Finding a decent blogging/CMS was not easy.&nbsp;</div><div>I didn't trust <a target="_blank" href="http://www.wordpress.org/">Wordpress</a> anymore because of the frequent updates (due to security), often very messy plugins and the mix of php and html in the templates.&nbsp;I've picked <a target="_blank" href="http://www.movabletype.com/">Movable Type</a> because of the flexible template system, robust out of the box features and architecture after reading their upgrade to Wordpress 2.5 guide.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>I still have to add a link section, tag all the old entries and tweak the design a bit.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>The next move to MT will be my local VR site : <a target="_blank" href="http://www.vrnoeveren.com/">VRNoeveren</a></div>]]></description>

            <title>WWP - Sustenance</title>
            <description><![CDATA[The latest <a href="http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/worldwidepanorama/wwp907/index.html" rel="external" title="WWP - Sustenance Event">WWP event</a> is online!  The theme was "<strong>Sustenance</strong>".<br />It's once again a fantastic mix of different interpretations using all kinds of equipment!<br />So start browsing the panoramas and enjoy!!!<br /><br />I missed the deadline this time!             <title>My first IR panorama</title>
            <description><![CDATA[What happens if you put a Lee 87 filter in the filter slot of the Nikon 10.5mm and take 360 degree panorama...<br />You don't see anything in the viewfinder and you end-up with an IR photo!<br /><br />This is my first attempt.             <title>Petition - Adobe - Price differences</title>
            <description><![CDATA[PS CS 3 has been released but...there are huge price difference between the US and Europe.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.amanwithapencil.com/adobe.html">Click here</a> to see the price differences and sign <a href="http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/fair-pricing-for-european-software.html">the petition</a>!<br /><br />I hope Adobe does something about this!<br />Otherwise I'll have to look for a good alternative...<br />I shouldn't be too difficult because I'm already using Raw Developer instead of Photoshop CS to convert my raw files, iView Pro, PTGui, CubicConvertor etc.<br /><br /><strong><br /><em>Feel free to advice me on a good image editor (for os x) with Photoshop plugin support and color management!</em></strong>]]></description>

            <title>VRAntwerp in beta!</title>
            <description><![CDATA[The last few months I've been working a website with <a title="VRAntwerp.com : a virtual tour of Antwerp" href="http://www.vrantwerp.com/">vr photography about Antwerp</a> (the second biggest city in Belgium, Europe) : <a title="VRAntwerp.com : visit Antwerp using vr photography" href="http://www.vrantwerp.com/">VRAntwerp.com</a>.  A lot of work still needs to be done.             <title>WWP Transport</title>
            <description><![CDATA[The results of the World Wide Panorama Transportation Event will be online very soon!<br /><br /><a href="http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/worldwidepanorama/wwp906/index.html">I've just submitted my entry!</a><br /><br /><div>It's an old machine to transport clay. The brick factory (Lauwers) will be closed in December 2006.<br />They still produce traditional bricks in a more or less manual way.<br />This region (Noeveren - Boom - Belgium) has been dominated by brick factories for centuries but at this time only 2 or 3 modern factories remain.<br /><br />You can have a look on my <a title="//www.vrnoeveren.com" href="http://www.vrnoeveren.com/">VRNoeveren</a> site for a few panoramas.  I'll try to make the site available in English within a few months.</div>]]></description>

            <title>Calico - Automatic stitching for Mac</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<a title="Kekus - PTMac" href="http://www.kekus.com/">Kekus</a>, famous for PTMac, released a beta of a new automatic stitcher for Mac : <strong>Calico</strong>!<br />I've done a few tests and they are already rather good!<br />The automatic control point generation (SIFT) is fast (even on my G4 Powerbook), the interface is very clean and blending seems to be ok. This might be a "Stitcher Express" killer...<br />Similar automatic control point generation will be available in the new version of PTMac.<br /><br />2006 seems to become a great year for panoramic software because since the new version of <a title="PTgui" href="http://www.ptgui.com/">PTGui </a>last year, <a title="AutoPano" href="http://www.autopano.net/">Autopano Pro </a>and now the upcoming PTMac 4, there is enormous progress in each of these programs.<br /><br />I'm especially look forward to better automatic control points in PTMac and Autopano Pro for fish-eye lenses + everything to do around HDR/RAW support!]]></description>
