I like travelling but at this time it's not possible because I'm renovating a house! That's eating my budget...

One of the destinations I certainly want to visit is China. Using VR, this is possible for free!
On ChinaVR.net you can find lots of quicktime movies from destinations in China!

So have a look : Chinavr.net

There seems to be a section with movies from Beijing with English indications :

HDR Tutorial and Workflow

When you make full 360 degree panoramic images you have to cope with very difficult light conditions.
In normal photography you don't shoot straight into the sun or into a window!
So everybody is searching for a good solution to cope with the extremely high dynamic range.

On this website you can find a very interesting and complete tutorial about shooting HDR panoramic images without spending a huge amount of money.

High Res HDR panoramic photography for the rest of us!
I've added 8 new panoramas to my VRNoeveren site.
An English version will be available soon, hopefully the coming week or next weekend.

These are direct links to the pages containing the new panoramas : (Click on the images for a fullscreen view)

All comments are welcome! I know I still have to work on my exposure, white balance and there are some minor errors in the skies.

Autopano Pro Released!

The new version of Autopano, now called Autopano Pro, has been released yesterday.
At the moment the beta version/RC is available with a bit of limitations (no fisheye support etc.) for windows.
New versions for Mac, Linux and with fish-eye support will appear soon!

It was a surprise that instead of a command tool to generate controlpoints it's now a full automatic stitcher!
Autopano Pro detects your panoramas, stitches and blends. All using one program and with a fancy interface!
There is even HDR support! Fantastic news for landscape and interiors!

Automatic control point generation is now supported natively by the following programs : PTgui, Stitcher, PTMac (alpha version) and Autopano Pro! (Don't shoot me if I forgot a few!)
Auopano Pro is also priced below Stitcher so that's certainly a good thing!

Well, I'm using a fish-eye lens so I have to wait for newer versions! I'm also looking forward to testing the Mac version.
